A Vale of Glamorgan Council enforcement officer has fined a motorist for allegedly altering the expiry date on their residential parking permit.

On Tuesday 8 June, the eagle-eyed officer examined the car which was parked in a town centre bay.

All permits have holograms and are issued using a special pen with fade and water resistant ink. They detail the street, the car registration number and the date of expiry.

The officer determined that the permit in this instance "had been unlawfully altered to show an incorrect expiry date".

The motorist was handed a Penalty Charge Notice.
