The residents and staff of MHA Morel Court Penarth, all were determined that the current lockdown would not get them down.

So they decided that they want to do a virtual cycle ride to raise funds for the residents amenity fund. This helps to fund trips out and special events.

They were not content to go local but be ambitious and cycle to Edinburgh Castle.

The enthusiasm was such, that both residents and staff all took part including the MHA Area Manager.

However the residents would not be outdone, so they recruited Dorothy who at a 100 years of age could still put in a mile.

I am glad to say that they completed the journey from Penarth to Edinburgh Castle and with the generosity of the relatives and public the journey achieved almost £1000.

So come post lockdown many trips will be made.
