Man charged with wounding after reported stabbing in Penarth

A man has been charged with wounding after an alleged stabbing on Windsor Road in Penarth on July 3. 

Conor Thomas Dawson, 23, was arrested after the incident which happened in the early hours at 04:00 and one person was taken to hospital. 

They have since been discharged and it is thought that the attacker and victim know each other. 

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Conor Thomas Dawson, 23, has been charged with wounding after an incident on Windsor Road, Penarth at around 04:00 on Sunday, July 3. 

"He was remanded in custody to appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court yesterday. 

"It is believed those involved in the incident were known to each other. 

"One person was taken to hospital but has since been discharged."
