Local Dance Company Joins Forces with Famous Phantom for Fundraising Event

Peter Karrie, a well-known Phantom of the Opera, has teamed up with Liberty Dance Company for a fundraising night to help three students on their way to the Dance World Cup in Rome.

The event has been set up to help the three senior dancers in representing Wales at the Dance World Cup 2020.

The fundraiser will take place on Saturday the 29th of February 2020 at 5 pm.

Peter Karrie is renowned for his role in The Phantom of the Opera. In 1994 and 1995 members of The Phantom Of The Opera Appreciation Society voted Karrie their favourite Phantom.

He has also starred in West End's biggest musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserable and Evita.

Marianne Fundalski, the school Principle at Liberty Dance, has set up a Go Fund Me to help the girls on their way.

It says: ''Three of our Senior Dancers have qualified and will be representing Team Wales at the Dance World Cup 2020, in Rome, for the first time.

''The Girls have been selected to perform: Lyrical Solo, Lyrical Trio and Show Dance Trio.

''The girls are so excited to be given this opportunity to represent their country at such a high level in dance.

''All fundraising will be be used towards the girls travel, accommodation, team uniforms, costumes etc.

''Thank you for your support.''
