Leckwith Road flooded

By Alex Jones

23rd Dec 2020 | Local News

Leckwith Road has flooded after a night and morning of persistent rainfall.

The worst flooding is present where the road troughs near Leckwith itself, almost directly opposite St James' Churchyard.

There is a smaller flood further along the road towards Llandough Hospital, which can be easily traversed on one side.

Most drivers are courageously crossing the larger flood. Some are turning around and finding an alternative route.

This reporter, in his Hyundai i10, belongs firmly in the latter camp.

UPDATE:

Since the original post, Highway Maintenance has arrived and the flood seems to have become shallower.

The i10 has been able to cross.
