Last Week for Unlimited Black Bin Bag Allowance

By The Editor

6th Jan 2020 | Local News

The Vale Council lifted the two black bin bag limit for a limited over christmas and the new year as they recognised the additional waste that would be created over the festive period.

From Monday 23 December 2019 - Friday 10 January 2020 the restriction to 2 black bags per households has not applied.

However, black bags have still only been collected fortnightly on the normal collection day for your area.

Residents are reminded that this will be the last week that the lenient approach to waste will be applied.

The 2 black bags restriction will resume from Monday 13 January 2020.

Further changes to local waste management are also expected to reach Penarth in 2020 with separated recycling collections becoming a mandatory feature in the town.
