Dinas Powys celebrated the success of Hannah Mills in winning another Gold Medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Choirs from Dinas Powys Primary School and St Andrews School sang beautifully to the audience.

Hannah spoke of the huge challenges posed by the year's delay in holding the Olympics and the additional pressure this caused. She paid tribute to the support of her parents.

Local pupils asked Hannah a series of questions. The Dinas Powys Ecumenical Seven played a variety of sea shanties much to the delight of the audience.

The event was compared by Mark Thompson and organised by Dinas Powys Community Council.

Well done to all who worked so hard to make this a memorial day and again congratulations to Hannah.

Local Community Councillor Chris Franks said that the event was a great tribute to Hannah.

He said:"The choirs from the local schools were very good. They overcome very difficult circumstances. People were delighted to see and meet Hannah. It was also a pleasure to hear the Ecumenical Seven"
