Griffin Books to host TV star Lorraine Kelly

Penarth's independent bookshop Griffin Books will host TV host turned author Lorraine Kelly next week at the Paget Rooms.

Lorraine will join bookshop owner Mel Griffin to celebrate the publication of her debut novel The Island Swimmer, a poignant and heartwarming story set in Lorraine's much-loved Orkney islands.

It follows Evie, who, following her return to the island for the first time in years, finds solace in a group of cold-water swimmers. 

Lorraine Kelly CBE is a Scottish television presenter, journalist and author, best known for her ITV show, Lorraine.

Alongside her weekday show on ITV, Lorraine has also hosted and presented many other TV programmes including The Last Leg, RuPaul's Drag Race UK, Have I Got News For You and The Paul O'Grady Show.

In addition to her television work, Lorraine continues to write a weekly column for Hello! Magazine. 

The event will tale place on Wednesday, 14 February at 7.30 pm.
