Greggs, in Penarth, will reopen on Thursday as part of the wider opening of 800 stores across the UK, which was announced today.
The popular shop has been closed since March when the coronavirus lockdown led the company to pause trading in response to health and safety concerns.
Since then they have been trialling in stores in the North East to test the safety of their services.
They said: ''Since temporarily closing our shops, we've been working hard to get up and running again, and we are currently undertaking a number of shop trials.
''To begin with, these trials took place behind closed doors in order to test a number of new operational and social distancing measures.
''These trials have been successful and have given us the confidence to move to the next phase of our reopening plans, with just over 800 shops re-opening on the 18th of June.
Regarding what they will have on offer from Thursday they explained that it will be a reduced menu, to begin with.
They explained: "Social distancing means we've fewer team members in our shops, so we can't currently offer our full range of products.
"As we get back up and running, we'll look to bring back as many of your favourites as we can. A full list of our current range is available here."
New safety measures will be in place for the Penarth store including:
Our new safety measures in shops• Only one adult per household will be allowed in the shop. Children can join them if needed.
• Watch out for the floor markings to guide you around the shop at a safe distance• Please keep a 2m distance from others
• To reduce contact, we're only accepting card payments at the moment To have a look at their reduced menu click here.
