Dinas Powys Community Council has welcomed the decision to award the council over £16,000 for the replacement of 19 benches and a new bin along the Common. The funding comes from S106 monies provided by developers as a part of their planning conditions.

Many of the benches had substantially deteriorated and were in need of renewal. The cost to remove / dispose the old benches and to supply and install the new benches and a new bin is £16,066.

Community Councillor Debbie Evans who played a major role in securing the funding said she was delighted that the project could now be progressed.
