Four ways Nub News helps the local community

Nub News puts local community at the heart of everything we do.

Thankfully, so do the people of Penarth.

Since starting with Nub News just a month ago, I've been dashing around town meeting all sorts of people toiling behind the scenes to make Penarth a better place - from community groups improving the urban environment to local businesses going above and beyond to help their customers during COVID.

Ours is an age of isolation and fragmentation, but you wouldn't know it walking through Penarth. Few places in the UK rival the town's community spirit, and here four ways in which Nub News strives to bring that community even closer together...

  1. We promote local businesses

This is one of our key aims at Nub News - we love local businesses.

Our "Local List" is becoming the town's definitive business directory and is absolutely free to sign up to - which you can do HERE.

Plus our UP CLOSE series promotes local businesses with an in-depth article.

You can get your business an UP CLOSE article by emailing [email protected]

  1. We promote your local events

We don't shout about our What's On section enough but that's about to change.

Whether it is a virtual class or a socially distanced event we can help you promote it, free of charge.

It really is that simple so click HERE to add your event to our growing list.

  1. We report on issues that matter to you

We put Penarth at the heart of everything we do.

Every story we cover means something to the people of Penarth - so if the story is outside the town and doesn't affect the town - we don't run it. We are local, not regional.

  1. We let your voice be heard

If you have something to say, say it with Penarth Nub News.

Just go on our home page, click the black 'Nub It' button and you can submit your story.

Whether it is about your business, charity, sports team or just a cause you feel strongly about feel free to Nub It and have the whole town get involved.

If you're an aspiring journalist looking to get your local stories published, then we invite you to Nub your stories too!
