THERE are few things better than a good cup of tea, other than perhaps a good cup of tea and a chinwag with your nearest and dearest. 

Now you've even more of a good reason to get the kettle on, because back by popular demand and for the third year running is Tea for Tŷ Hafan! 

And this year, says Community Fundraising Manager Claire Horrex, the charity is hoping to make Tea for Tŷ Hafan even more successful than ever aiming for supporters to host 120 or more Tea for Tŷ Hafan tea parties throughout the month of June. 

"So what is Tea for Tŷ Hafan?" says Claire. "It's basically a tea party which you host wherever works for you and however works for you – and you raise some much-needed funds for Tŷ Hafan in the process. 

"Your tea party can be as lavish or low-key as you'd like and any amount you raise – no matter how big or small – will go straight towards supporting children in Wales with life-shortening conditions. 

"Tŷ Hafan's ambition is that when a child's life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own. So every cuppa you brew, every cake you bake, every conversation you have and every penny you raise will make a massive difference to children with life-shortening conditions and their families. 

"You can host your Tea for Ty Hafan tea party wherever suits you. You could choose your own home or garden, you could do a street party, you could use your local village hall, your school, college or university and of course, you can hold your Tea for Ty Hafan tea party in our place of work. 

"When you sign up, we'll send you a tea party pack in the post with lots of Tŷ Hafan goodies for you and your guests. 

"And if you're not able to hold your tea party in June, don't worry! Just let us know when you'd like to hold it, and we'll make sure you have everything you need to make your party a success." 

Claire adds that if you'd like to find out more – and enjoy a cuppa and a cake in the process – then why not drop into one of Tŷ Hafan's Tea for Tŷ Hafan launch parties. They're open to all so just drop in, enjoy a brew and pick up your fundraising pack in person.
