East Vale Community Transport Back on the Road

East Vale Community Transport, based in Penarth and serving the transport needs of the eastern Vale, are back in business.

After many months off the road due to the pandemic, volunteer driver Geoff Cook took the first socially distancing bus trip to Tesco today with residents from Llandough making up the lucky passengers.

Both buses are now operational and although capacity is limited, they are both back in action. Trips to the shops, for lunch out or even to a local attraction are now available, and EVCTs volunteer drivers are all back and ready to help.

It is also hoped to expand the service into a delivery service supplying books, games and craft materials to those still isolating.

Those wishing to know more about the service or to make a booking should contact enquiries@evct or telephone 07938115914.
