Dotty Pots in Penarth has made the difficult decision to close its doors for good as coronavirus takes another hit in our town.

Kat, the owner of the paint your own pottery business, said on Facebook: "This is a very hard post to make, but due to personal circumstances coupled with the uncertainty created by COVID-19 the difficult decision has been made to close Dotty Pots at the end of August for good.

"I would like to thank you all for your custom and support over the past six years, it has been a pleasure being part of the Penarth community and I will miss you all.

"We will not be firing anything past August the 8th. We will be open limited hours 10am till 1 pm Thursday/Friday/Saturday until the end of August for collections.

"Anything that remains uncollected by 29th of August will be donated/disposed of."

Dotty Pots is situated in the central location of Herbert Terrace, opposite Tesco Express.

An application has now been made to the Vale Planning Department to turn the pottery making shop into a hairdresser and beauty salon.

A determination will be made by the council committee and we will update readers as soon as this information is available.
