The community flocked to this year's Village Show in Dinas Powys and early counts suggest there was a record attendance.

There was a wide range of entries in the various classes.

These included flowers, vegetables, crafts, cooking, preserves, photography and arts.

There was a strong children's section. The raffle table with Richard Grigg and Chris Franks did a roaring trade.

The WI provided magnificent teas and the garden was alive with entertainment.

The Ecumenical 7 had grown to ten musicians were very well received.

Congratulations have been passed by residents to John Fanshaw, chair of the Show Committee, and his hard-working team.
