The process of trying to improve the protection of properties in Dinas Powys from flooding is progressing slowly says a local councillor.

Plaid Councillor Chris Franks said: "The Vale is currently going through a procurement exercise to appoint a specialist installer for the property flood resilience (PFR) measures identified by survey works last year.

"We are told that subject to funding approval by the Welsh Government works could potentially commence on PFR installation works early next financial year.

"We continue to press the Vale and Natural Resources Wales to protect our community."
