Friday 28th July, saw the latest in a series of monthly fund-raising talks at Dinas Powys Library and Activity Centre

This time however the talk was linked to an exhibition of photographs  "Another Day Dawns" by James Richardson, which was showing at the library.

James is the official photographer of the Dawn Stalker swimming group who swim/dip off Penarth beach every morning at sunrise and James has taken the challenge of documenting the group, his intention being: "to capture the emotions of the sea dippers experiencing cold water therapy whilst watching the ever changing spectacle of sunrise"

The event was also supported by many of the Dawn Stalker group, who were present to view the first showing of a short documentary from Native Social.  It was a totally engaging and enjoyable evening and provoked many interesting topics of conversation…. not least " how does James drain water from his wading suit"!

The photography exhibition has now moved to Rhoose library where it can be viewed until 11th September during library opening hours

The Dinas Powys Library would like to say a huge thanks to James and the DawnStalker community for supporting Dinas Powys Library and Activity Centre and look forward to working together again in  the future.
