Crafty Devil Cellar, a recent addition to Penarth's high street, was vandalised in the early hours of Sunday Morning. Two handmade plant pots were emptied and stolen from the entrance of the store.
The business expressed their distress on Facebook this morning, writing: ''It is pretty low stealing from a small independent business. These plant pots were made by the father of one of the directors so is pretty unique if you see them around. They are also black which is pretty rare.
''We are disappointed this has happened as we tried to build a venue for the community of Penarth. This sort of thing has not happened at any of our other venues which makes this even more disheartening.''
They later stated that a female culprit dressed in dark clothes had been identified at 3:40am emptying the planters before leaving on foot with one of them.
The community bar has appealed to local businesses to check their CCTV for any footage they may have of the individual committing the crime.
The local community has come together to aid Crafty Devil. The original Facebook post has been shared over 120 times and offers have been made to replace the planters by local businesses.
Anyone with information about the crime are encouraged to contact the store. The original Facebook post can be viewed by clicking the red button below.
