After working closely with Town and Community Councils and external event providers to deliver last year's events programme, Vale of Glamorgan Council says it will again be working with local organisations and businesses to deliver a range of affordable, county-wide events across the coming year.

The Council is inviting applications for 2023/24 grant scheme via two streams; one for supporting visitor facing events and the other to support local community events.

All events considered for the funding must be located in the Vale of Glamorgan and should have strong potential to generate a ripple of economic and social benefits, such as employment, revenue for the County's businesses and raising awareness for local causes.

Cllr Bronwen Brooks, Vale of Glamorgan Council's Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Sustainable Places said: "I'm delighted that the Council is able to support local event businesses and organisers through the Events Grant Scheme 2023/24.

"The scheme is a fantastic opportunity for providers to access funding to stage events that in turn will attract large numbers of residents and visitors, boosting the Vale's economy and tourism industry."I look forward to hearing more details about the successful applications and upcoming events."

More information about the Vale of Glamorgan Event Grant Scheme and details of upcoming events are available on the Visit the Vale website.
