The Pilot and The Sully Inn in Penarth and Sully have decided today to close their doors temporarily during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement to customers Knife and Fork, the company managing the businesses, said: "We're really sorry to have to announce, but today we've made the difficult decision to close our pubs until such time as is responsible and safe to re-open.

"We believe it to be the most sensible decision for our staff and customers in the current circumstances and in light of our responsibility to help encourage social distancing.

"Thank you to all of you who have supported us and we'll see you again just as soon as we can."

The Sully Inn has only recently reopened after undergoing extensive refurbishment and moving to the management of Knife and Fork.

In total they run: Twenty Nine Park Place, The New Pilot, The Conway The Discovery, The Old Swan Inn and the Sully Inn.
