Cocaine, Cannabis and Cash Found in Penarth Stop and Search

South Wales Police have issued a statement after catching and arresting and man and a woman in Penarth for the possession of cocaine, cannabis and cash.

They said: ''While many of us are experiencing the challenges of lock-down, officers in Penarth are still busy tackling crime and targeting drug dealers.

''Last Friday afternoon (April 3rd) we stopped a car in Penarth and carried out a search where we found cocaine, cannabis, a number of mobile phones and a quantity of cash.

''Both occupants of the car were arrested.

''Tryston Winton, 33, from Penarth has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Cardiff Crown Court on May 18th.

''A 43-year-old woman who was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis has been released under investigation.

Penarth neighbourhood PC Sophie Watkins said: "Even during these difficult times we will still be out and about tackling crime and keeping our communities safe.

"As always, we would urge our communities to support us as we continue relentlessly to achieve this aim.

"We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming."
