From Monday 1 November Cardiff and Vale University Health Board will be updating its Park and Ride service at University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough.

The service will remain free for staff, patients and visitors and is designed to improve access and provide a stress-free journey for staff, patients and visitors travelling to and from our main hospitals.

Park and Ride provides a sustainable transport option and reduces the number of vehicles accessing our sites. Using the Park and Ride instead of driving a vehicle onto site can help to ease congestion and improve air quality.

The University Hospital of Wales service will continue to run five days a week (Monday to Friday) from Pentwyn, just off the A48(M) at CF23 8HH. Journey time is just six minutes and buses will run every 20 minutes. The first bus leaves Pentwyn at 06.30 and the last bus leaves University Hospital of Wales at 21:00.

The University Hospital Llandough service will also run five days a week (Monday to Friday) from Wilcox House in Cardiff Bay, CF11 0BA. Buses will run every 20-30 minutes depending on time of the day and journey time will be an average of 11 minutes. The first bus leaves Wilcox House at 06.30 and the last bus leaves Llandough at 19:00.
