On 23 April, a car parked on the hill opposite the Penarth RNLI Lifeboat Station rolled back and collided with the building.
No one was hurt and the Cliff Hill lifeboat station only sustained very minor damage to a drainage pipe.
The car, however, was significantly damaged.
Remarkably, this is the second incident of this type in under a month.
An RNLI spokesperson said:
"Luckily, nobody was hurt in the incident, and there was no damage to the station wall.
"This is the second time in the last few weeks that a car has rolled into the station from the same group of parking spots on the hill.
"When people park in those spaces, please remember to check your hand brakes before you leave your car."
The new Esplanade parking regime, which came into effect in early March, introduced a new "return prohibited within 2 hours" zone opposite the station.
It also introduced a "no waiting at any time" restriction on the side of the road nearest to the station.
Improperly parked cars are thus liable to roll down the hill and hit the building.
Nub News understands that the RNLI is considering the introduction of bollards to protect the station, crew and volunteers.
