BBC Wales presenter Lucy Owen will host a special Storytime event at Penarth Library on April 20 to promote her new children's book.
The presenter will be reading How Do I Know You Love Me?, a story about a bear named Boodles who discovers the real meaning of 'I love you'.
Rhodri Matthews, 51, a senior librarian at Penarth Library, told Nub News: "She's [Lucy] has been to Cowbridge Library and Llantwit Major Library and the librarian at Cowbridge told us about it.
"I then emailed Lucy to see if she would be interested in coming to Penarth and it all started from there. We're really excited to welcome her to the library."
Lucy has previously written three other children's books: The Flower Girl, published in 2021 about a girl called Cherry who is made from magic and has to learn to be kind and honest; The Sea House, published in 2019 about a girl named Coral who wakes up to find a magical underwater sea world in her own home; and Boo-A-Bog in the Park, published in 2016 about a boy called Tom who learns to build confidence and make friends.
Visitors will have a chance to buy How Do I Know You Love Me? and Lucy will also be signing copies.
Storytime will take place on Wednesday, April 20, starting at 10:30 with an 11:00 finish.
Booking is essential and spaces are limited. Call Penarth Library on 02920 708438 to reserve a spot.
