9th Oct 2019 | Local News

A number of events are being held throughout Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week which falls between 9th-15th October 2019.

Baby Loss Awareness Week gives the opportunity:

• For bereaved parents, their families and friends, to unite with others across the world to commemorate their babies' lives.

  • To raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss in the UK.

• To drive improvements in bereavement care and support available for those affected.

The Teardrop Team will place a memory tree in The Sanctuary (Floor 5, B Block) at the University Hospital of Wales and in The Chapel at the University Hospital Llandough during 9th-15th October.

Bereaved parents, patients, families and staff who have experienced the loss of a baby can come and write a message to hang on the tree and light a candle in their memory.

For individuals who feels they need support during this time, please contact Cardiff and Newport SANDS or visit their website by clicking the red button below for further information.
