This weekend will see an exhibition of works of art in Penarth.

It has been organised with the help of the Vale's Arts Development Service, and sponsored by the local cafe Willmore's 1938 and has been supported by the Vale of Glamorgan Events and Tourism Team from grants available to local Vale groups and organisations.

Cllr Rhiannon Birch said: "It is a great opportunity for the Vale of Glamorgan Council to be able to support this unique local outdoor event.

"It was a pleasure to look at their artworks and support such creative local talent. I would encourage people to see it before it's taken down."

The artists all enjoy the event and interaction between the public providing them with an opportunity for them to come together and share their knowledge and experiences.

The artwork consists of a range of practices including traditionally landscape paintings, still life, pop art and a variety of other subjects.

The group are hoping to attract more artists to participate next year and already have had a great deal of interest.

This is a unique event where; come rain or shine, you will find the artists on the cliff walk. The Vale of Glamorgan council hope to see people engaging with the artwork this weekend.

The exhibition is open until 7pm on Sunday 15 July.
