Blu Hair Design has been closed since the coronavirus lockdown in March and with government guidelines in Wales still unsure of when hairdressers will reopen Blu wanted to let their customers know what they are up to.

They said: ''As I am sure you are all aware from the news etc. we have still not been given an exact date on when we will be able to reopen.

''We are hoping to get a few weeks notice so that the salon can be ready and we can book everyone's appointments.

''PRODUCTS - give us a message if you are in need of any products and we can let you know whether we have what you want and we can then deliver them to you contact-free.

''We have limited stock available but I'm sure we can get you what you need. Please message us if you have any enquires regarding products.''

''In the meantime, we cannot take any bookings, however, we still have the waiting list, if you have not already please message us to add your name and we can then get in contact with you whenever we can book appointments.

''Please be aware we expect to have a high demand of people wanting to book appointments so we will not announce the reopening until we have gone through the waiting list and contacted everyone, this is to avoid having an overload of calls and messages that we may not be able to respond to.

''You won't be forgotten about so please bear with us whenever that time comes. Thank you for your endless support and messages and understanding how difficult this time is and has been, we are forever grateful. The team at Blu.''

The team at Blu have also taken extra precautions for their reopening including enrolling on and completing a COVID-19 hairdressing course.

They said: ''We ask that if when you have an appointment you wear a mask and follow the regulations as much as possible to keep yourself, other guests and our team safe.

''We would greatly appreciate if you are experiencing any symptoms before or after your appointment to let us know and reschedule or so we can let everyone who was in the salon at the same time know.''
