Penarth's recently opened 'Beachcliff Fish and Chip Restaurant' has gone for a clean, modern and tasty take on the traditional British cuisine.

Nub News went to take a look at what they have on offer over the weekend for their launch day. Make sure you check out the picture gallery at the top of this article for a look around.

The seating area was pleasant and the large windows take advantage of the fantastic pavilion view that stretches out in front of the store.

A takeaway kiosk can also be accessed from the outside of the shop for those wanting to grab a selection on the go.

The menu is extensive with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available as well as the more classic meals.

A variety of fish like Hake, Plaice and Haddock are also available to Cod, so there are lots of choices on offer.

The chips are cut and cooked freshly on the premises.

The prices are very reasonable and we can concur that the battered Halloumi was delicious.

The restaurant will be open every day from 11 am - 10 pm with alcoholic beverages available for those wanting to dine-out.

Environmental considerations are clear in the new eatery with Veg Ware takeaway containers, biodegradable cutlery and paper straws.
