Penarth-born rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit lit up the Six Nations yesterday evening with what will go down as one of the competition's finest performances in recent years.
The 20-year-old scored two tries during the thrilling match with Scotland. Thanks in part to Louis' man of the match-winning performance, Wales won the nail-biting contest 24-25.
Wales were losing 17-3 before Louis brought them back into the game with a beautiful, side-stepping finish just before half-time.
Nicknamed Rees Lightening for his explosive pace, the winger received the ball from full-back Liam Williams before finishing with a level of composure rarely seen in such a young player.
Remarkably, Louis then returned the favour in the 51st minute, providing the final pass to Williams before the full-back scored Wales' second try.
But it was only after the 14-man Scotland team bounced back with a try in the 65th minute that Louis truly shook up the rugby world.
Receiving the ball at the halfway line, Louis sped past the pursuing Scotsmen before brilliantly chipping the ball over Scotland's captain and chasing down the try.
Plaudits for the young man are coming in thick and fast. Wales rugby legend Jonathan 'Jiffy' Davies and BBC pundit said: "I think a star is born today.
"He looks as if he's gliding. I know his mam and dad, [when he scores] they will have hit the ceiling, they are great, great people.
"On his second try, Jiffy added: "It was just class... his acceleration, then the chip".
Captain Alun Wyn Jones says this is just the 'tip of the iceberg' for Louis, adding that "he's worked hard and it's a credit to the environment and some of the back-field players that have been helping him along as well."
Speaking after the game to BBC One, Louis himself said: "We've come a long way from the last Six Nations campaign and worked so hard in training. It's hard to come up here and get a win.
"I'm thoroughly enjoying it, the whole team have helped me settle in and I'm loving playing on this sort of stage."
Although born in Penarth, Louis went to Cathedral School in Llandaff and played for Llandaff Football Rugby Club.
Louis' parents both have links to Cardiff, and Nub News is currently looking into his association with Penarth.
His performance yesterday and meteoric rise to stardom make a strong case for being called up for this year's Lion's Tour.
