Penarth Civic Society has organised a Tree and Nature Walk on Sunday, 30 July at 2pm.

It will be an informative walk with Ai-Lin Kee who is a Nature Engagement Facilitator and residents are invited to Join society members for a walk to discover and learn about the trees and nature in our neighbourhood

Society member David Noble said: "This walk will introduce you to the trees and natural habitat of Penarth.

!The aim of the walk is to  encourage participants to understand and appreciate the importance of trees in their neighbourhood.

"Different species of trees will be identified and there will be information about their features, benefits in general to us and to nature.

"We will touch on what is native, what is naturalised and what are non natives.

"This walk will also take us through areas where nature is left 'wild' and unkempt and learn about why this is important and what kinds of wildlife these areas may support."

Meet at the clifftop by the bistros and childrens' play area. After the walk cake will be provided but please bring your own drinks or you can buy them from the bistros.

Cost is free to members and £3 to non members.
