Town Mayor Thanks Attendees of Her Civic Service

Penarth's Town Mayor, Councillor Angela Thomas held her Civic Service at All Saint's Church, Penarth on Sunday 23rd June 2019.

The Town Mayor was accompanied by her Consort Ms. Emma Ross and the service, conducted by Rev. Canon Peter Cox, was well attended by civic dignitaries.

Attendees included other Vale Mayors, Town and Vale Councillors, past Town Mayors, representatives of various local organisations and the Town Mayor's nominated charity.

Also joining the Mayor were family members and friends.

The service featured performances by harpist Heledd Wynn Newton and Rock Choir.

Attendees proceeded to a reception at the Parish Hall.

During the service there was an offertory for the Town Mayor's nominated charity, National Autism Society Wales Cardiff & Vale Branch.

The Town Mayor and Consort would like to thank all who attended.

Town Clerk, Emma Boylan said "We were delighted to welcome townspeople and distinguished guests to recognise the Town Mayor.

''The Civic Service is a traditional fixture of the civic calendar, during a year of significant new initiatives and developments for Penarth Town Council."
