Many street lights across Dinas Powys which stopped working during the December floods reportedly remain defective.

Now local community councillors are calling on the Vale Council to prioritise their repair.

Community Councillor Chris Franks said that, "There are a significant number of defective street lights across Dinas Powys. It was possibly caused by flood water shorting the wiring.

"Affected areas include Mill Road, Elmgrove Road, Millbrook Road, Murch Road, Camms Corner and Cardiff Road/Station Road."

Fellow Plaid Community Councillor Richard Grigg said, "Please, if the Vale is ignoring your call, let Plaid know of other roads and we will pass on the Vale.

"This situation is yet another example of neglect by the Vale Council."

Nub News is awaiting a response from the Vale.
