Over the weekend of November 12-14, Eden Church Penarth held a photographic exhibition along the theme of 'My Covid Experience'.

Over ninety pictures were on display from members of the local community, and over 200 people visited the exhibition.

We were grateful for the support of Councillor Ian Buckley, Mayor of Penarth, who enjoyed his tour of the exhibition.

Another visitor, Minister for the Economy, Vaughan Gething, shared his own pivotal picture - which for many was a reflective moment where he asked people to submit a photo from their phone or camera that summed up their time in lockdown.

A range of emotions and subjects were displayed, from the poignant, sad and celebratory to one simply of gratitude as people shared their images.

Stanwell Baptist Church hall was the setting, transformed for people to wander around, get a cuppa, meet others and just enjoy the exhibition.

As part of the weekend there was also a book of Condolence for people to write in as well as an opportunity for quiet reflection both in the church building and also at two commemorative services on the Sunday.

All this took place over the normal remembrance Sunday weekend which made this an even more reflective time for all where so many stories were shared as part of the exhibition.

Eden Church's next event is on December 12, with the Cosmeston Nativity at 4pm.
