Penarth businesses invited to enter prestigious Vale awards

Businesses in Penarth and across the Vale are now able to enter the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards taking place later this year.

A black-tie ceremony for the awards will be held on Friday, September 16 at the Vale Hotel & Resort in Pontyclun to celebrate businesses of all sizes across the county.

There are 12 categories, including Young Business Person of the Year, Start-Up Business of the Year, Green Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, and Tourism & Leisure Business of the Year.

The judges are Liz Brookes, the founder of the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards and Grapevine Event Management; David Stevens, CEO of the Admiral Group plc; and Ben Joakim, head of Strategy at Principality Building Society.

Mr Stevens said: "I am delighted to be chairing the judging panel for the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards. These awards will recognise the effort and inspiration of the businesses and entrepreneurs that are helping to make the Vale an exciting business location and I look forward to meeting them."

Businesses are allowed to enter a maximum of two categories.

The deadline for entry is Friday, June 17 at 17:00 and the shortlist will be announced on June 22.

Each business will be interviewed during the week commencing July 11. This will include a five-minute presentation and a ten-minute Q&A session.
