Where can I park on the Esplanade? Find out below.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's new parking restrictions will be imposed on and around the Esplanade today.
Cliff Hill, Cliff Road, Beach Road, the "unnamed road leading towards Seabank", Bridgeman Road and the Esplanade itself will all be affected.
Local residents, especially those living in the vicinity of the Esplanade, have cited issues with the parking for some time.
Others have called for fewer parking spaces or even turning the Esplanade into a car-free, pedestrianised zone.
After a recently-concluded consultation period, the following proposals were finalised and will be enforced from now on.

The majority of changes involve relaxing rules on parts of the road that are currently subject to waiting or stopping restrictions, with the introduction of two hour limited waiting parking bays between 10am and 7pm (no return within two hours) on roads which are currently unrestricted.
Following the consultation, the council also agreed to increase the number of parking spaces at Penarth Esplanade and adjacent streets.
Caravans and large goods vehicles will no longer be able to park overnight on Cliff Hill and Cliff Road.
