Met Office issues warning for snow and ice as heavy fog covers Penarth

7th Jan 2021 | Local News

Penarth is covered with a thick fog this evening, and the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.

Icy stretches are likely to form, which could lead to travel disruptions and snow falling in some places.

The warning is in place until the end of Friday.

The Met Office advises caution when travelling in these conditions.

According to the Highway Code headlights should be used when visibility is below 100 metres.

Before setting off on a foggy journey, drivers should make sure their lights - especially fog lights - are working properly.
