GALLERY: Anonymous well-wisher posts positive COVID messages around town

Homemade messages of optimism and praise have appeared across the town courtesy of an anonymous resident.

The patterned pieces of fabric, often adorned by a quaint button flower, are embroidered with the following messages:

"SPRING WILL COME"

"WELL DONE HOME EDUCATORS"

"SMILING IS GOOD FOR YOU"

Residents have reached out to Nub News to thank the mysterious craftsperson for taking the time.

"On a rather bleak February afternoon, to come across these tiny messages of hope and appreciation really lifted my spirits," one said.

"With faces so often distant and hidden under masks, it seemed like someone was smiling and reaching out.

"Despite all the challenges of this difficult time it made me feel so grateful to live here amongst creative and thoughtful human beings."
