Goldcraft Jewellers on the Clock Tower roundabout was burgled in the early hours of this morning, South Wales Police have confirmed.
According to a police spokesperson, "at roughly 12:40am... access was gained to the property after a door's window was smashed.
"The perpetrators made off with property worth several thousands of pounds."
Members of staff have declined to comment.
This comes within three weeks of Penarth Mobile Repair and Vape, the 89 Plassey Street electronics repair shop, being burgled.
In the early hours of 15 January, three men clad in motorcycle helmets and gloves broke the padlock on the shop's shutters before using a crowbar to prise open the front door.
The thieves then grabbed and made off with a considerable loot of mobile phones and electronic cigarettes before returning for the shop's supply of e-scooters.
Police have appealed for further information on this morning's incident:
"Anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area between midnight and 1.00am or who may have any information which will assist detectives in their investigation is asked to call south Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 and quote reference 2100040328."
