A New Cafe-Bar has Replaced the Old Jaflon Premises in Penarth

Deco, a new cafe and bar, has opened its doors for the first time in the building previously occupied by the Jaflon Indian Restaurant in Penarth.
Penarth Nub News visited the new owners Debbie and Becky to find out all about the new venture.
Deco, named after the art-décor building, has secured a ten year lease from the post office who still own the building.
The site had been unoccupied for over two years when the pair took the site on.
The space looks very different to that of the previous occupiers. It is a comfy, modern design which is perfect setting for the new cafe destination.
The food is freshly prepared and they are sourcing ingredients from local suppliers.
Alongside the coffee and hot beverages, there are a wide variety of fresh cakes and quiches on display with a mixture of Vegan and Gluten free options available as well as a hot food menu.
Wifi is also available for customers who are dining with them.
Deco will be open 7 days a week from 9am - 6pm on Monday - Thursday as well as extending into the evenings over the weekend.
The business is fully licensed and has a bar area for the latter parts of the day.
There is also a large function room upstairs that is available to book for parties and functions.
Deco can cater for these events with grazing tables and beverages available for customers that want to hire the space.
Debbie said, ''We want to specialise in providing fresh and quality food for everyone.
''A lot of places that you go to eat will have a vegan/ vegetarian option but we want people to be able to come and eat here together regardless of the differences in their dietary requirements.
''Lots of customers have been apprehensive about trying the vegan cake but when they have they are always surprised that they can't tell the difference.''
Becky said: ''The local community has been great. Customers and local businesses have been really supportive with our opening.''
Deco is situated at 41 Albert Road Penarth.
They don't have a website or social media but we have attached tasters of their menu in the picture gallery at the top of this article.
