About the role:This role is based in Cardiff though we are operating a hybrid working model which involves 3-days working from our office base and 2-days working from home.As a Victim Care Officer you will be:The role involves working as part of a small team providing telephone-based support to the victims and witnesses of crime ensuring we achieve our aim of helping people recover from the impacts of crime.South Wales Victim Focus serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced, As a Victim Care Officer you will offer emotional and practical support, assess risk and well-being, and signpost to relevant support to help enable the victim of crime to take control of their situation.About Us:Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity providing a range of specialist services to people who have been affected by crime across England and Wales.
