Project Officer - Active Journeys (Cymru) Location: Wales £29,835 per annum (pro rata for part time) Ref: 207REC Full-time 37.5 hours per week, or job share available. Base: Hybrid working across Wales Contract: Fixed Term Contract until September 2027 Disclosure: Basic/Enhanced/ DBS is required for this position as the post holder will be working with school and community groups in the region. ABOUT THE ROLE Team: SNWI / Cymru / Active Journeys As a Project Officer in our Active Journeys team, you will deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that empower schools and communities across Wales to make active travel part of everyday life. What You'll Be Doing

• Plan, organise and deliver educational and practical activities, events and workshops that help people travel actively.
• Engage schools, communities, local authorities, active travel champions, volunteers and other stakeholders to shape and deliver effective projects.
• Build supportive working relationships, respond to enquiries and help recruit and support volunteers so that activity can be sustained locally.
• Manage clearly defined project tasks, documentation and expenditure, and prepare risk assessments for approval.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, turning ideas into practical activities and seeing the difference their work makes in schools and communities. ABOUT YOU We're looking for someone who has experience and understanding in the areas listed below. • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or at least three years' relevant work experience, including experience with community groups (which may include voluntary work).
• Experience of managing small, clearly defined projects or delivering work packages as part of a wider project.
• Experience of working collaboratively, building meaningful relationships and leading workshops or presentations in person and online.
• Welsh language skills at a minimum of being able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and simple phrases.
• The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk.
