Occupational Therapist - South Wales (Bridgend, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan & Surrounding Councils)

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join established teams across local authorities in South Wales, including Bridgend, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, and surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within supportive councils offering flexible hybrid working and competitive pay. You'll play a vital role in helping adults maintain independence, enhance their quality of life, and achieve positive outcomes through effective assessment and intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults with a range of needs
  • Complete manual handling and equipment assessments
  • Carry out home and environmental assessments, recommending suitable adaptations
  • Develop, implement, and review care and support plans
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports
  • Ensure all practice aligns with current legislation, policies, and best practice

Requirements

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Experience working with adult services
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
