A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for their Children and Families team in South Wales area. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

About the job

  • Safeguard children and promote their welfare.
  • Assess the needs and risks of children and families.
  • Manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
  • Work directly with children and families to improve outcomes.
  • Coordinate support with schools, health services, and other agencies.
  • Monitor and review plans to ensure children remain safe and supported.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports when required.

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Children's Social Work. This is a growing team with long-term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
