I am working with a highly regarded law firm in Wiltshire who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join their busy litigation team in Trowbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong legal secretarial experience, ideally within litigation, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-quality support to fee earners. The Role As Litigation Secretary, you will:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court forms through accurate audio and copy typing
- Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings and court dates
- Liaise with clients, courts, counsel, and external experts in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate and confidential case files (digital and paper-based)
- Assist with billing processes, including preparing cost schedules and managing disbursements
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and post with professionalism and efficiency
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within litigation or dispute resolution
- Fast and accurate typing skills (digital dictation experience desirable)
- Confident IT skills with Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g. Proclaim or similar)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional, discreet, and proactive approach
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in personal injury, civil litigation, or family law
- Knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology
