Everyone deserves a home
Alexandra Park, Penarth
UNTIL Sunday 26th September
"I believe that every one should have a home" Nia, 8 year old.
Hello. My name is Peter known as the coffee man in Penarth. This is Nia's story...
Anoup (her father) told me a how Nia asked one day: "Dad, why are those people sitting on the street?". Nia asked a very good question which is also quite difficult to answer. Because… Why do people suffer homelessness? I very often speak to Lee, guy sitting in front of Co-Op in #penarth . Lee is homeless. In fact, we spoke just today. We were talking about "boxes of problems". Everyone has got such box and unfortunately, for some, this box is too full and overwhelming to deal with.
Ni understands that and she wants to help. This is why Nia and her family decided to raise money for @llamau_uk . Leading homelessness charity in Wales, supporting the most vulnerable young people and women. Just imagine the world without homeless…
I brushed off homelessness in Ireland in my 20s so I understand how challenging life can be.
Nia and her family will join Together is Better this Sunday in Alexandra Park, Penarth 10-12.
Nia is going to be selling fidget "pop it" toys to raise money for @llamau_uk and you'll also be able to donate by sending a text message. (I'll have a number soon) We need your help to make Nia's dreams come true… we may not end homelessness this Sunday but we can make few peoples lives that little bit better, together. at the end of the day… Together is better! Thanks so much for your time! Pop in to the park this Sunday 10-12Peter, Nia and the family
