'A Flock of Dances' is a Baroque ensemble featuring the remarkable talents of Despina Homatidou on Harpsichord and Marc Elton on violin and viola. Having attended RWCMD at the same time, Despina and Marc have teamed together on numerous occasions, and now have a history of exquisite performances behind them. Their focus is primarily on the Baroque, and for this candlelight concert they will perform music by Bach and Handel on period instruments. Also featured will be sonatas by two female composers; Isabella Leonarda from Italy, and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre of France. In contrast, there will also be performances of some quintessential Baroque Dance music from England. This is bound to be a night of enchantment, where you will be carried on a journey from the harmonies of the late Renaissance to the flamboyance of the High Baroque
