Penarth Operatic & Dramatic Society (PODS) present Sleeping Beauty - the most enchanted panto in the land.

When the Princess Rose is born, all the Kingdom of Enchantment rejoice. That is until the evil Morgana puts a curse on her, proclaiming that on her 21st birthday she will prick her finger on a rose and die.

Fairies Lilac, Blush and Beige come to the rescue, and instead, the Princess falls into a deep sleep, entering the Kingdom of Dreams where the Dreamweaver takes her on a magical adventure. Will Rose awake to find true love or will Morgana and her pet crow, Cawdor turn the dreamiest of pantomimes into a nightmare?

Sleeping Beauty and the Kingdom of Dreams is a spectacular, original pantomime that has been devised and written especially for PODS as part of the company's Centenary year celebrations.

The story is set in an enchanted land of elves, fairies, dragons and heroes and it will make a wonderful outing for the whole family - oh yes it will!

The show will run from Thursday, 5 December to Sunday, 8 December, when there will be morning and maintee performances. There will also be a matinee at 1pm on the Saturday.
