W. Robert Griffiths KC is a practising King's Counsel with a multidisciplinary career in the UK and overseas, also serving as Senior Counsel in New South Wales. Called to the Bar in 1974 and appointed QC in 1993, his notable clients have included the Sultan of Brunei, Muhammad Ali, the Government of France, Kerry Packer, Manchester United FC, and the MCC.

He has served as Junior Counsel to the Crown and Standing Counsel to National Grid. Griffiths will give a talk and book signing at Penarth Library on 18 February 2026, discussing his acclaimed works Beyond the Concept of Sport and A Legal Mind.
