Book Quiz

AS the Penarth Literary Festival mnoves to its conclusion, there's a chance to put your book knowledge to the test on Saturday at St. Augustine's Parish Hall, Penarth.

The popular festival Quiz Night is back, but this year there's an added twist!

Each team will be captained by a local author who will guide you through the rounds with their superior literary knowledge (or maybe not!).

Expect themed tables, themed rounds and even book-themed drinks!

Come as a group of up to six or join a team on the night to put your own bookish credentials to the test. You can choose whose team you'd like to join, but please note there are only 6 spaces available on each team.

Meet our Captains:

– Chris Lloyd, author of The Unwanted Dead and Paris Requiem

– Sophie Buchaillard, author of This Is Not Who We Are

– Louise Mumford, author of The Safe House, Sleepless and The Hotel

– Carole Hailey, author of The Silence Project

– Laura Kemp, author of Love Betty, The Year of Surprising Acts of Kindness, Under a Starry Sky amongst others

– Rebecca F. John, author of Vulcana, Fannie, The Empty Greatcoat amongst others

– Katie Munnik, author of The Aerialists and The Heart Beats in Secret

The Penarth Literary Festival is organised by Griffin Books and runs from Wednesday 14 – Sunday 25 June.

The festival coincides with Independent Bookshop Week and includes a packed programme of author events, workshops, and lots of other bookish fun for all ages and interests.
