The highly anticipated Anytime Fitness gym, moving into 88 Windsor Road, has confirmed an early 2020 opening.
The gym will complete the renovations made to the building which was previously occupied by Robert Smith's Garage.
Penarth's Scouts are looking for some volunteers to step up to the plate for 2020.
If you want to do some volunteering and spend time with children doing activities and getting more involved with the community then the Penarth Scouts might be the right place to look.

Penarth Esplanade has dealt with a variety of issues in keeping businesses open along the iconic seafront but it looks like a number of new ventures will be heading that way in 2020.
Nub News previously reported on the takeover of the Crazy Cafe which had been left unoccupied for an extended period due to issues with previous tenants.

The Vale Council lifted the two black bin bag limit for a limited over christmas and the new year as they recognised the additional waste that would be created over the festive period.
From Monday 23 December 2019 - Friday 10 January 2020 the restriction to 2 black bags per households has not applied.
A reminder to Penarth residents that from Monday 13 January – Friday 17 January 2020 that the Vale Of Glamorgan Council will be collecting real Christmas trees for recycling.
Simply place your tree out for collection alongside your other recycling before 7.00am.

Refurbishment work has started today in the Glendale Hotel's restaurant and kitchen.
The Glendale is a popular eatery in Penarth which is well-known for its appearance in the hit TV series Gavin and Stacey.
Local couple Jeanne and Huw Pickford have recently taken over the Beach House Hotel and are currently in the process of renovating the property before opening to the public.
The Pickford's had previously run the Galley restaurant at Penarth Yacht Club.
